There has not been one day of my life, both personal and professional, not impacted by tobacco.

I specialized at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. After my time at MD Anderson, I was shocked by what I had learned about how we treat tobacco dependency today and I could not believe that our West Texans were void of the support and guidance necessary to eliminate this addiction. In 2019, I told myself I must do better for the members of our community who are impacted by smoking, vaping and dipping. My life has not been the same since.
